What is it like to live with voices, visions, wild energy, and extreme states of consciousness?

This group examines what these experiences mean to each of us and how we can learn to accept and live with who we are.  We ask important and often-overlooked questions:  Are there creative and spiritual sides to what we go through?  Do we have to define ourselves as having mental disorders, or are there other ways of understanding?  What can we learn from each other?

This group is expressly for people who have experienced voices, visions, wild energy, extreme states of consciousness, special messages and unusual beliefs — including the “mental illness” labels of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and psychosis.  It is based firmly on a belief in the values of diversity, self-help, mutual respect and understanding.  The atmosphere is inclusive and non-judgmental.  You will be viewed as the expert human being that you are, not just a psychiatric diagnosis.  Your story matters here.

Support people and family members are welcome to accompany the individual who has had these experiences.

This is a peer group centered around social support and belonging, and is not considered therapy or treatment.  People taking medications, not taking medications, and exploring alternatives including coming off medications are all welcome to join us.  This is a completely voluntary walk-in group, no registration is required.  These meetings are free of charge and are conducted by Puget Sound Hearing Voices peer facilitators.

We fully adhere to the terms of the Hearing Voices Network USA Charter.

We share our experiences, support each other, learn new ideas and have fun too!

We meet every Tuesday from 5:30 to 7pm.
